Section-Wise Minimum Admissible Score (SMAS):
- The authorities calculate SMAS by taking 20% of the average of the best 100 scores in that section.
- SMAS in the General section is mandatory for admission to NISER and CEBS.
- SMAS in all four subject sections is mandatory in addition to the General section for admission to NISER.
- For admission to CEBS, SMAS in any 3 subject sections is mandatory in addition to the General section.
Minimum Admissible Percentile (MAP):
- MAP for NEST is 95 percentile for General Category candidates.
- MAP for NEST is 90 percentile for OBC Candidates.
- MAP for NEST is 75 percentile for SC/ST/PWD Candidates.
