The 2nd round of Sainik School counselling 2023 has begun for admissions. Candidates who did not take admission in the first round can apply till April 11, 2023. The counselling is being conducted by All India Sainik School Admission Counselling, AISSAC 2023. Candidates can apply on the official website pesa.ncog.gov.in/sainikschoolecounselling.

The registration is open for candidates who were allotted a school in round 1 but opted for the “reconsider” option, candidates who were not allotted any Sainik School in Round 1, or candidates who have not registered or done choice filling during round 1.

Students and parents are advised to check the seat matrix on the AISSAC portal to know about the remaining seats after round 1. To apply for the Sainik School counselling, candidates should follow the steps mentioned on the website.

Steps To Apply Sainik School Counselling Round 2

  2. Step 2: Click on the counselling link on the homepage,
  3. Step 3: Register, and log in with the credentials.
  4. Step 4: Exercise choice filling, submit the options
  5. Step 5: and save for future reference.

Eligibility for Sainik School Counselling Round 2

Candidates who were allotted a school in Round 1 but opted for the RECONSIDER option, candidates who were not allotted any Sainik School in Round 1, or candidates who did not register or do choice filling during Round 1 are eligible for Sainik School Counselling Round 2.

It is important to note that all candidates and their parents participating in AISSAC Counselling must read, understand, and agree to the terms and conditions of AISSAC 2023. Candidates should read and check all instructions and FAQs uploaded by SSS on the AISSAC 2023 portal and the leftover vacancies available in schools for Round 2 through Seat Matrix.

Candidates who Opted RECONSIDER Option

Class IX candidates are eligible for Sainik Schools only. If you opted for RECONSIDER in Round 1, you don’t need to register again for Sainik School Counselling Round 2.

For Class VI candidates who opted for NSS 40% Route for New Sainik Schools, you can fill 5 new Sainik Schools. If you’re already studying in a New Sainik School in Class V and opted for NSS 60% Route, your school (as per data provided by NTA) will be non-editable.

If you opted for combination Sainik Schools only, you can fill a total of 10 schools based on your order of preference.

If you didn’t fill your choices in Round 1, the last saved choices (if filled) will be locked automatically upon reaching the deadline for choice filling in Round 2. It is important to note that candidates must read and check all instructions and FAQs uploaded by SSS on the AISSAC 2023 portal.

Candidates who did not registered during Round 1

To participate in Sainik School Counselling Round 2, candidates who haven’t registered or done choice filling in Round 1 must follow some instructions:

First, you’ll need your AISSEE 2023 Application Number to sign up and register on the AISSAC 2023 portal. Make sure your mobile number and email ID registered during the AISSEE 2023 registration are functional to receive an OTP for sign-up. Once you submit the OTP, set your new password and confirm it.

When you sign in with your new password, a declaration screen will appear. Read it carefully before clicking on “I Agree.” You should also read the Guidelines Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) carefully before agreeing to the declaration. Once you agree, a screen containing your credentials will appear. Verify your credentials, as registration will not be successful without confirmation.

For Class VI candidates, you can choose your schools by clicking on the Choice filling tab on the AISSAC 2023 portal. The choice filling options will be as per one of the 7 combinations you opted for during the AISSEE 2023 registration. For example, if you opted for combination Sainik Schools only, you can fill a total of 10 schools as per your order of preference for Sainik School Counselling Round 2. Remember that a change of category or other credentials will not be allowed at this stage.
