The Board has clarified that class 9 and 11 students must have 75 percent from the commencement of classes till end of final exams. However, if a student fails short of attendance, a maximum of 15 per cent can be waived by the board.

As per the notice, the board said there is a confusion among some people that to appear for the Intermediate final exam, there is the minimum of 75 per cent attendance in both classes 11 and 12 required. Similarly to appear in Matric exam, minimum of 75 per cent attendance in both class 9 and 10 while this requirement is separate for each class, and not combined.
However BSEB clarified in the notice which reads “In the light of the above, it is clarified that (i) the minimum 75% attendance will be mandatory from the day of commencement of teaching in the classes held in class XI of intermediate, in the period before the annual examination of class XI, otherwise the students will be demoted to class XI. Permission will not be given to appear in the 11th annual examination.”
