छत पर बागवानी योजना का उद्देश्य पटना के शहरी क्षेत्रों के निवासियों को छत पर बागवानी करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना है। इस योजना के तहत सरकार का मुख्य लक्ष्य शहरी क्षेत्रों में घरों की छतों पर फल, फूल और सब्जियों की खेती को बढ़ावा देना है।
Bihar Krishi Chhat Par Bagwani Yojana objective
The main objective of the Bihar Rooftop Gardening Scheme is to promote the cultivation of fruits, flowers, and vegetables on terraces in Patna Sadar, Danapur, Phulwari, and Sampatchak blocks of the Patna district. To be eligible, individuals must have 300 square feet of open roof space on their own house or flat. For those with their own house, the roof space must be free from interference, and for apartment dwellers, a no-objection certificate must be obtained from the registered society of the apartment.
The government will provide a subsidy of 50% of the cost of the unit, or Rs. 25,000, with the remaining amount to be paid by the beneficiary. Individuals can avail a maximum of 2 units in a private residence and 5 units (educational institute/apartment). The beneficiary will be responsible for the maintenance of horticulture. The scheme aims to ensure 16% participation from Scheduled Castes and 1% from Scheduled Tribes in the district, and 30% participation from women.
A company will visit twice in 18 months to provide technical support and check on the progress of the rooftop garden.
