He launched the Sahara Refund Portal, allowing investors to claim and withdraw their money. Sahara Refund Documents Required – Overview

To apply for a refund from Sahara, depositors can register on the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal. The refund will be credited to the depositor’s account within 45 days of filing an online claim, subject to verification and fund availability. To file a claim, depositors should provide their membership number, account number, Aadhaar-linked mobile number, deposit certificate for passbook, and PAN card. The full list of required documents can be found on the Sahara refund portal. Bondholders of Sahara India Real Estate Corporation Ltd. (SIRECL) and Sahara Housing Investment Corporation Ltd. (SHICL) can apply for a refund using the application form available on the SEBI website.

Amit Shah announced during the portal launch that initially, around four crore people will benefit. Through the Sahara Refund Portal, investors will receive a transparent refund of Rs 5000 crore. He mentioned that the Sahara case had been in court for a long time and involved multiple agencies. In this situation, the government under Narendra Modi has taken the initiative to protect the interests of the investors by creating the refund portal.
